Where to use:
Fires involving flammable solids, such as paper, wood, and textiles (‘Class A’ fires)
Fires involving some flammable liquids, such as petrol, diesel, and paint (‘Class B’ fires)
How it works:
AFFF / Foam type fire extinguisher suppresses fire by forming a film that floats out before the foam blanket, sealing the surface and smothering the fire by excluding oxygen.
